National Poetry Month: Sogi for a WInter Storm

April is, apparently, national poetry month. I will attempt to post a poem a day for the month, or less as I become distracted.  Because the weather has been alternating today between snow and hail (have I mentioned recently that I hate Wyoming?) let us begin with Sogi, in a translation by Sam Hamill.

Life in this world
Is brief as time spent sheltered
From winter showers.
