One of the last survivors of Bletchley Park has passed away. The Boston Globe has a
lovely piece written about her. She is quoted as saying that neither her legs nor her German were good enough for her to be Mata Hari. But more fortunately for posterity, she participated in the cryptography project of the century. Rest in peace, Ms. Batey. The work of you and your colleagues helped to bring us the information age.
