Tiamat has also taken to knocking some books off my shelves, which I take as an indication that I should use them for bibliomantic divination. So, flipping open C J Cherryh's Hellburner, which was a victim of the kitten's depredations, and reading at random, I find:

Ben said: "Screw it, he's got a breakfast sitting back there, we all got breakfast back there, if nobody's grabbed it."

This is a clear directive from the universe to have a second breakfast.

I got a kitchen island to help with my lack of counterspace. Although it has wheels so I guess it is more of a turtle than an island. Tiamat helped put it together.
